Stanley Furniture Company’s CEO, Glenn Prillaman, has resigned along with two other board members in conjunction with the sale of the company to a private Vietnamese industry group. Matthew Smith replaces Prillaman on a temporary basis. Prillaman will be paid $765,000 severance according to the company. Just over 7 years ago, Stanley started producing most of its furniture out of Vietnam and Indonesia. Almost 1,300 jobs were cut from Virginia and North Carolina in the process.
